(요한계시록 19:17-21)
17 또 내가 보니
한 천사가 해에 서서 공중에 나는 모든 새를 향하여 큰 음성으로 외쳐 가로되
와서 하나님의 큰 잔치에 모여
18 왕들의 고기와 장군들의 고기와 장사들의 고기와 말들과 그 탄 자들의 고기와
자유한 자들이나 종들이나 무론대소하고
모든 자의 고기를 먹으라 하더라
19 또 내가 보매
그 짐승과 땅의 임금들과 그 군대들이 모여 그 말 탄 자와 그의 군대로 더불어 전쟁을 일으키다가
20 짐승이 잡히고 그 앞에서 이적을 행하던 거짓 선지자도 함께 잡혔으니
이는 짐승의 표를 받고 그의 우상에게 경배하던 자들을 이적으로 미혹하던 자라
이 둘이 산채로 유황불 붙는 못에 던지우고
21 그 나머지는 말 탄 자의 입으로 나오는 검에 죽으매
모든 새가 그 고기로 배불리우더라
(Revelation 19:17-21 NIV)
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair,
"Come, gather together for the great supper of God,
18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and mighty men, of horses and their riders,
and the flesh of all people, free and slave, small and great."
19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together
to make war against the rider on the horse and his army.
20 But the beast was captured,
and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf.
With these signs he had deluded those
who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image.
The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
21 The rest of them were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse,
and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.
